PROCARE MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS FOR LEADERS
Delivered by FSEAP
As the Saskatchewan Building Industry works towards its goal of increasing leadership capacity to support and enhance mental health resiliency and mental fitness on the worksite, this training addresses some of the training requirements to meet that goal. Although numerous factors play a role in an individual’s psychological make-up, the workplace plays a large part in daily life and is therefore an important component in maintaining and promoting these human needs. This workshop is designed for supervisors and managers to support them in understanding, identifying and supporting employees with mental health distress. Participants can expect to learn and practice the following aspects:
o What is mental health?
o What is mental distress or mental health issues?
o Most prevalent issues, potential Impacts, Identification, and addictions and mental health
o How to have a conversation about mental health
o How to ensure safety – Resources and steps to provide support and safety
